Established in 1999, Route 1 School of Motoring ( Formby ) is probably one of the most successful independent driving schools in the North West.
John Norbury, the school's owner and instructor set up the school after completing almost 30 years as a member of one of Merseyside's emergency services. During that period he attended and dealt with the aftermath of many serious and fatal road crashes. His experience in having dealt with these crashes is what drives John to try to impress upon his clients the importance of being a confident yet responsible driver. He does not believe in merely teaching clients how to pass their driving test, he is passionate that they are safe in the manner in which they drive on today's increasingly busy roads.
Ever since 1999, Route 1 School of Motoring (Formby) has been providing students with a rich and diverse learning environment
whereby each client has the opportunity of making steady progress according to their individual driving ability.
Route 1 School of Motoring (Formby ) has experience in teaching those with 'special needs' such as dyslexia and dispraxia and nervous students are always welcome.
Based in the Sefton area of Merseyside, Route 1 School of Motoring (Formby) covers the areas of Birkdale, Ainsdale, Formby, Hightown and Crosby.
Lessons are given on a one-to-one basis with no car sharing.
Local pick up is available by arrangement from home, school or place of work.
